On the occasion of International Yoga Day, various events have been organized across country to mark the fourth International Yoga Day. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached Dehradun to lead 55,000 Yoga enthusiasts and launch the event.He was accompanied by Uttrakhand Governor K.K. Paul, State Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat and Ayush Minister Shripad Naik.

Addressing a gathering at the Forest Research Institute in Dehradun, Modi said “In today’s fast changing time, Yoga binds together a persons body, brain and soul”. Describing the Spiritual attraction of the place he says dawn will be the witness of yoga all over the world.

A benchmark has also been  setup in Chattisgarh again when 1 cr people in all over nation sat at a time to do yoga making a record in Golden Book of World record. Chhattisgarh chief Minister Dr. Raman Singh has been given Commendation letter for the same. Breaking last years record, He did all the yogas in sitting position. Last year 50 lakh people made the record.

Vice President Venkaiah Naidu commented on International Yoga day, said that he wants the event to become a people’s movement because it is not something political or religious. Yoga can be used to enrich individual lives. M Venkaiah Naidu was speaking at an event organized by a non-profit organisation run by BJP’s Mumbai unit chief Ashish Shelar.
